A new theme for this year, too!
For 2017, BriRex decided to recreate a brand new scenario: after taking visitors around the world, in the factory warehouse, the 2017 stand has become a fantastic metropolitan park! The scenery is decorated with painstaking attention to detail in a charming, eye-catching setting with so many references to modern fairy tales and the imagined perfect metropolis. The stars are of course ribbons and gift paper that blend perfectly with the decorative setting. But let’s take a look at this lit stand from close up.
The fair layout: every “piece” tells a story
The metropolitan park is a place that is mid-way between the unspoilt nature of wild environments and life in town. The metropolis with its parks is also the setting for all of the most beautiful modern fairy tales – from Dickens to Forrest Gump – and BriRex has been able to enhance both sides of the metropolitan park, bringing both the “fantastic” and everyday sides together, but always with some poetic touches. While the background shows a skyline of city skyscrapers, here in the BriRex park, white “trees” populate the whole stand with their decorations in ribbon, bows and paper cut-outs. This dreamy, two-dimensional backdrop is reminiscent of the illustrations in Tolkien’s books and the result is simply charming. Each perimeter tree is decorated according to a theme, with a display of ribbons and gift paper in matching colours. Alongside the springtime trees in pink and lilac, and the summer styles in red and yellow, we have the winter tree with its Christmas theme in wood and conifer colours, reminiscent of Dickens’ timeless story, where the magic of Christmas invades the city for one night. Every detail on the stand in fact seems to refer to a story, like the beautiful white benches, decorated in BriRex materials and inspired by the famous bus bench, where Forrest Gump told his story, accompanied of course by his famous gift-wrapped box of chocolates! As soon as you look round, the scene changes into another modern metropolitan story, where the bar has been replaced by an Ape Piaggio, the inseparable symbol of so many Italian and Italo-American stories, like in the movie “Fuochi d’artificio”. It was fitted out with the tall stools that are so reminiscent of famous TV and film sagas, from Happy Days to Grease and Pleasantville, and was photographed by so many visitors, who came to admire the vintage style of the Ape Piaggio. And for the next show? BriRex will be seeing you at the 2018 edition to astound you once more with a fantastic new world.
