Some advice to get started. The gift wrapping paper should be a solid colour sheet, or one with a geometric and simple decoration, such as a polka-dot pattern. With this simple trick, you will be able to highlight the decorations made with Brizz ribbon. Choose the ideal colour paper and then have fun combining the washi tapes that best match up. For an even more cheerful effect, keep a good stock of many different ribbons and try the various combinations!
Tutorial # 1: Birthday Cake
After you have wrapped the packet with the gift paper you chose, select 3 ribbons with 3 different patterns and cut out 3 pieces of different lengths. The widest one is for the base of the cake and you gradually move upwards applying them to the smaller cake tiers. Then use a black or coloured marker to draw the cake stand, the laces of the various tiers, and the lit candles on the highest part!
Tutorial # 2: Candles
Wrap your gift with a white polka-dot on pastel-coloured paper: it’s not a solid colour paper but it still gives a great deal of homogeneity to the background. Now choose the ribbons in the colours you prefer and cut them to create the body of many coloured candles.
