Romantic Kit Tutorial

Here is one of the many creations you can make with this kit: a gift wrapped and decorated with a bunch of flowers. For this particular creation, we used the kit in this combination:

• recycled paper gift wrap in salmon pink with small dot design
• orange raffia
• a white paper lace doily
• small wild flowers with long stems

The package was tightly wrapped in the paper, so that it would adhere properly. Then the flowers were placed in the centre of the paper lace doily, which was closed so that the top flared slightly, by closing the bottom tightly to hold the stems in place and leaving the top more open so that the flowers themselves could fan out. This composition was then tied with the orange raffia at the bottom of the stems, to create a beautiful romantic-looking gift with a bunch of flowers.

You can create your own romantic gift wrapping as shown here, using the kit in your favourite colour and the flowers of your choice. Here are some tips:

• use small flowers or blooms with solid petals – gerberas are good, poppies are not!
• you can also use herbs, from classics such as lavender, to more modern such as sage or oregano, or lemon thyme;
• wrap your gift just a short time before giving it, so that the flowers are able to stay fresh!
